R&B artist Faiza releases new single “Benchmark” produced by Birthday Boy. The sensual single premiered on CBC q along with an interview with Faiza and Tom Power highlighting the mindset behind the song. When speaking on the inspiration behind the song Faiza tells us: “When I’m writing I tend to just follow what ideas come first. The feeling and vibe felt very romantic so I knew I wanted to write about love but i think at the time my heart wasn’t in a place of fully being able to receive it. The song is kind of me lamenting about past painful experiences while also acknowledging that the possibility of a new healthy and life giving love is possible for me."- Faiza
